UPDATE: Campbell Co. authorities still searching for missing woman

Authorities are looking for Starla Pride, who was last seen Monday afternoon.

CAMPBELL COUNTY - UPDATE: Campbell County authorities are still searching for a missing woman who has not been seen for eight days. 

Starla S. Pride, 47, of Caryville, was last seen Sept. 12 about 2 p.m. when she was entering a wooded area in the Shady Cove area of Campbell County. She was reported missing by her family about six hours later.

Pride is believed to be in immediate medical danger, as she is an insulin dependent diabetic, according to the Campbell County Sheriff's Office. Pride has a developmental disability that mimics childlike actions and behavior. 

She was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and green pajama pants. Pride is 4-foot, 10-inches and weighs 136 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes. 

Anyone who has seen Pride or been in contact with her is asked to call the Campbell County Sheriff's Office at 423-562-7446.

Authorities said Pride suffers from a developmental disability that mimics childlike actions and behavior. They believe she is in immediate medical danger because she is also an insulin-dependent diabetic.

Pride has a history of leaving her house unannounced, but authorities said she usually returns in a few hours.

People that have seen Pride or have any information about her whereabouts are asked to call 911 or the Sheriff's Office at 423-562-7446.
