1 pound Fresh Jalapeno Peppers
3 pounds Ground Beef
9oz Sharp Cheddar Cheese, coarsely shredded (we like Sweetwater Valley Farms Cheddar)
2t Ground Black Pepper
2t Granulated Garlic
Condiments of Choice
*Remove and discard stems from Jalapenos, split the chilies, and carefully remove seeds, but keep the with pith inside intact (that’s gonna keep in some of that KICK!). Roast or sauté Jalapenos until softened and cooked down to about half their original weight.
Finely chop or mince cooked Jalapenos.
*Fold Jalapenos, Ground Beef, Cheese and Seasonings altogether until well mixed, and divide mixture into about 10 6oz portions. Patty ‘em out and grill or pan-cook over medium heat until desired doneness!
*Toast buns, and dress up you Jalapeno Popper Burgers however you like! We recommend our own Heirloom Tomato Ketchup and maybe just a little mayo.
