Children's museum shows off new solar house

The Children's Museum of Oak Ridge showed off the newest addition to its exhibits: a solar-powered home built by UT students.

The Living Light House was an entry to the 2011 U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon in Washington, D.C. The house is 750 square feet and requires no energy for anything to function.

It will stay permanently at the museum now after traveling nearly 6,000 miles around the country. It's been toured by more than 50,000 visitors, and was on exhibit at the 2012 Smithsonian Folklife Festival.
