Claiborne teacher charged with selling prescription drugs

A Claiborne County teacher is accused of selling prescription pills.

The Drug Enforcement Administration arrested 44-year-old Sherrill King, who, according to the Claiborne County schools website, is a driver's education teacher at Cumberland Gap High School.

The school district confirmed King is currently on leave.

According to court documents, King is accused of conspiracy to distribute oxycodone and other prescription pills.
