Dairy Queen now open in Farragut

The company plans to develop more areas in East Tennessee.

A national fast food chain is back in the Knoxville area.

A DQ Grill & Chill opened Tuesday in the former Farragut Krispy Kreme store at 11208 Kingston Pike.

The first 100 customers to buy a breakfast combo starting at 6 a.m. on Tuesday got free Blizzards (two per month) for a year.

Fourteen Foods developed the Farragut store and is working on opening more locations throughout East Tennessee.

Another Dairy Queen is already under construction in Seymour. The Fourteen Foods website also lists a future Sevierville store at 1185 Dolly Parton Parkway.

A Morristown DQ opened a few weeks ago.
