Dave Ramsey gives financial advice in Knoxville visit

KNOXVILLE - Financial advice columnist Dave Ramsey stopped in Knoxville on Friday night.

Ramsey spoke at the Foundry about building a legacy.

He said the type of person you are determines how you ultimately use and benefit from your money.

"If you're a jerk and you get money, you become a big jerk. If you're a good person and you're generous, you become, well, a philanthropist giving money away," Ramsey said.

Attendees also participated in a silent auction and enjoyed live music from the Streamliners band.

Proceeds from the event will support the historic Ramsey House in Knoxville.
