Aloha Oe campus tradition dates back to 1926

Some UT students got a special sendoff Tuesday as they prepare for graduation this week.

Aloha Oe has been a campus tradition dating back to 1926. Soon-to-be graduates light candles to literally pass the torch of service to their fellow students.

The voice of the titans, Mike Keith, spoke at the event as well.

One student we spoke to says it's bittersweet to participate with graduation getting closer.

"I'm kinda sad-- no more summers. But I'm really excited about getting paid to be a grownup, so hopefully that will happen soon," said Libby Perry.
