(WBIR-Knox County) Friday morning the Salvation Army in Knox County began to give out over 10,000 toys and 350 bikes to families in need.
It was the big day for the Angel Tree program run by the Salvation Army.
It has been many months in the making. Back in September, families applied to receive the gifts.
Since then, corporations and businesses as well as individuals took on the task of fulfilling children's wish list.
As they do every year, the Salvation Army also held toy drives.
10News reporter Katie Roach was at the distribution center Friday morning. She will have updates on the giving throughout the day.
