Irish Fest raises money for church renovations

(WBIR) One culture's proud heritage was on display Saturday evening in downtown Knoxville.

Lots of music, dancing, food, drinks and fun at the Irish Fest on the Hill.

The Immaculate Conception Church put on the 7th annual celebration of Irish history.

Organizers said they use the festivities to honor the immigrants who built their church more than a century ago. Money raised at the event will be used to help pay for renovations to the 128-year-old church building.
