'Llamapalooza' pops up at UT campus

UT hosted Llamapalooza on campus to help students relax before finals.

Make room puppies and kittens, there's a new animal in town to help students relax - llamas.

The University of Tennessee hosted Llamapalooza on Wednesday afternoon. Residence Assistants at Laurel Hall organized the event as a way to help students take their mind off finals and have a little fun before the tests get underway.

Students had the chance to meet and pet the llamas in their dorm courtyard and even feed them a snack.

The llamas were from the Smoky Mountain Llama Trek.

A couple hundred students showed up for the impromptu petting zoo.
