The University of Tennessee Psychological Clinic is now open in a new location.
The clinic moved to the UT Conference Center in Downtown Knoxville from the Austin Peay Building on campus. It serves as the primary training site for students in the clinical psychology doctoral program.
The clinic offers psychological assessment and treatment services. It started catering to university students in the 1950s.
"It has grown and expanded over time to where we now provide services for people literally from Middle Tennessee all the way to Kentucky, Virginia, certainly the greater East Tennessee area more than those other areas, but people come from all over to be able to see us," said Dr. Lance Laurence.
The clinic moved to its new location in January. Professors say the clinic will help them see more patients and be more accessible to the public.
