KFD puts out structure fire on MLK Avenue

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire.

KNOXVILLE - Knoxville firefighters put out a structure fire on Monday morning.

Knoxville’s 911 center received a call about a fire at 2531 Martin Luther King Jr. Ave. before 4 a.m. Monday.

No injuries were reported, according to the Knoxville Fire Department.

Heavy smoke and fire were coming from the building when crews arrived at the scene.

Firefighters were able to get the blaze under control.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire.
