Firefighters find marijuana grow while battling house fire

As firefighters battled a house fire in Hawkins County, they found people were using the home to grow marijuana.

Three people are now facing drug charges. Thirty-three-year-old Dominic Puleo, 48-year-old Michael Bantis and 57-year-old Patricia Lindsay face charges for growing and intent to sell marijuana.

The Hawkins County sheriff says the house had about $48,000 worth of marijuana plants and $20,000 worth of equipment.

Firefighters say the fire started in one of the two grow rooms, but the cause of fire is unknown.

The three suspects will appear in court Monday.
