The Blount County Friends of the Library Pre-Owned Book Sale kicks off this weekend. Money raised will help bring Shakespeare, computer classes and great music to the library. The sale is open to the public Friday and Saturday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Alive After Five is always a good way to spend your night. The Brad Walker Orchestra will provide some big band dance music Friday at the Knoxville Museum of Art. The show starts at 6:00 pm.

Friday through Sunday at the Bijou Theatre, catch a performance of "The Secret Garden". Evening shows start at 7:30 pm with matinees around 2:30 pm.

Country singer Josh Turner will take the stage at the Tennessee Theatre along with Logan Brill. Tickets start at $39.50. The show starts Friday at 8:00 pm.

Summer Soul Jam is back at World's Fair Park for its 4th year. Enjoy a fun family environment as you listen to music outside. The show starts Saturday at 4:00 pm.

It's "Dog Days" at Ijams Saturday. The entire morning will be geared toward our four-legged friends with dog walks, canine rescue groups and a homemade doggie treat station. The event is free and runs from 9:00 am to noon. Also later in the day, Ijams will have a family drum circle. Some instruments will be available. The drumming starts Saturday at 4:00 pm.

Funfest is taking place in Kingsport with an impressive lineup of musical acts. On Saturday, the Dirty Guv'nahs will open up for Grammy-award winning Train.

The Knoxville Community Band will be playing away on Sunday at the Clayton Center in Maryville. The concert will be free and starts at 3:00 pm.

And it doesn't get much better than Willie Nelson and Alison Krauss teaming up for an unforgettable evening. Tickets start around $39.50. The show takes place at Thompson Boling Arena, Sunday at 7:00 pm.
