JJ highlights events happening in East Tennessee this weekend.

Let's start the weekend off right at The Square Room with the talented Dave Barnes. The Knoxville native will feature tracks off of his new album Golden Days. Tickets at the door are $25. Show starts Thursday night at 8:00 pm.

The Jack and Jules Children's Consignment sale kicks off on Thursday and runs through Saturday at the Knoxville Expo Center. Find quality products for great prices throughout the event. Doors open at 10:00 am.

The 5th Annual Popcorn Sutton Memorial Jam will take place at the Cocke County Fairgrounds. Over 20 bands will be playing starting Friday and running through Sunday.

It's time for the Grainger County Tomato Festival. Bring your appetite to this one of a kind event featuring Grainger County's most precious treasure. The festival runs Friday through Sunday at Rutledge Middle School off of Hwy 11.

Alive After Five will once again be in full swing Friday with The Northshore Band. Enjoy an evening of Rhythm and Blues at the Knoxville Museum of Art starting at 6:00 pm.

Summer Movie Magic is in full swing at the Tennessee Theatre. This weekend enjoy The Wizard of Oz. Grab a seat Friday night at 8:00 pm or Sunday at 2:00 pm. Tickets are $11.

Shakespeare on the Square continues this weekend with the plays Much Ado About Nothing and Titus Andronicus. Performances run through Sunday and start at 7:00 pm on Market Square. Best part, it's free.

It's Superhero Saturday at the Knoxville Zoo this weekend from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Fans don't want to miss a chance to get up close with heroes like Iron Man and Captain America. Kids 12 and under dressed as superheroes get in free with a paid adult admission.

The Karns Community will celebrate Saturday with their annual parade and fair. Enjoy everything from live music to a chicken auction? The parade starts at 9:00 am from Grace Baptist with the fun continuing at Karns High School.

Comedian Paula Poundstone will be at the Bijou Theatre Saturday. Paula is a veteran at making audiences laugh with her witty comedy. You can catch the show at 8:00 pm. Tickets are $29.50.

Summer is popular for weddings so what better time to have The Fabulously Frugal Bride Fair? The Jubilee Banquet Facility off of Callahan Drive will have dozens of vendors offering tips and services. Tickets at the door are $5. The show starts Sunday at 1:00 pm.
