Dollywood will recognize firefighters Sunday at noon

International Firefighters' Day is this Sunday, May 4. It is a day when people around the world recognize the sacrifices firefighters make to keep communities safe. It is also a time when past and present firefighters are thanked for their service.

Sunday at noon local time communities will sound off by blasting fire sirens and ringing bells followed by a minute of silence.

At Dollywood this Sunday at noon a permanent display will be dedicated at the entrance to FireChaser Express. It will include more than a dozen fire hoses signed by active firefighters across East Tennessee.
