Future competition? Students learn about TV news

Some students from South Clinton Elementary got a taste of "news life" this week at Pellissippi State.

Some students from South Clinton Elementary got to see what life was like in the news business this week while at Pellissippi State. The students have worked on several different kinds of "TV magic," from green screening to video editing.

The students are creating their own commercials and movie trailers, and are acting as both producers and talent.

Instructor Kyle Roach sees it as a great opportunity for kids growing up in a world full of media.

"I've let them do all the work and the great thing is that they have risen to the occasion and they're excited about what they do," Roach said.

The students will complete and view their projects on Friday.
