(WBIR-Campbell County) You may have seen the billboards for McCloud Mountain, but not many know what the resort actually is.
"Boy what a drive up this mountain. You wouldn't think this was going anywhere," general manager Darryl White said what visitors tell him when they arrive at the restaurant and 11-room inn.
Up a mountain road for more than two miles, the restaurant's amazing view is what makes the resort different.
"Everybody steps in and sees the view, the first thing they ask is 'I want a window seat!'" said White.
Among the highlights of the resort is the "Sky Bridge," a 300-foot outlook, where you can see the mountains of Cumberland Gap.
"A walkway which is built on top of what we call the 'Chimney Rocks.' Which are rocks that range from 100 to 200 feet high," White said.
