Norris Dam State Park to host several events this summer

Norris Dam State Park has nearly 4200 acres of land.

Norris Dam State Park is located in Anderson County. The area is one of 56 state parks in Tennessee and each will hold a variety of fun events this summer.  

Norris Dam State Park Ranger, Brett Phillips, will host an event for National Trails Day on June 3rd. The event, titled "Hoot and Holler", will begin at 8:30 p.m. at Andrews Ridge Trail. The 1-mile hike will discuss owls of Tennessee.

Tennessee State Parks and State Natural Areas will offer a variety of volunteer events on June 24. The day will be dedicated to logging community service hours for TN Promise Scholars.

Park officials will host a "Junior Rangers Camp" July 11-14. Activities range from outdoor safety to astronomy. You can find more information on the camp here
