From Congo to campus, UT football player fights on and off the field

Russell Biven shares the story of Daniel Bituli.

The pressures of playing in the SEC can be immense especially for a freshman, but UT newcomer Daniel Bituli has experienced much more off the field.

As a 6'3", 245 pound linebacker, he's has already made his mark on special teams. He was born in the Civil War ravaged country of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

At age 3, Daniel's father was concerned about the family safety and left Africa to came to the United States.

Daniel flourished in sports, but even more so in his faith.

"God comes first," says Bituli.

The four star recruit out of high school wants to make a mark on the community  saying that's what true leaders to.
