Grainger Co. man indicted for rape of a child

A Grainger County man is in custody after being indicted on charges of rape of a child and sexual exploitation of a minor. 

The Knox County Sheriff's Office says a four-month investigation by the KCSO Cyber Investigations Unit and the Grainger County Sheriff's Office has resulted in a Granger County Grand Jury indicting 30-year-old Marvin Ray Taylor, of Thornhill, on Tuesday. 

Taylor is being held in the Grainger County Detention Facility on $1 million bond. He is charged with two counts of rape of a child and one count of sexual exploitation of a minor. 

The KCSO Family Crisis Unit investigates cases involving domestic violence, child abuse, elder abuse, animal abuse and cyber investigations.
