Greene Co. approves $73K to keep EMS running

New funds will keep Greene County's ambulances running, at least for the next few weeks.

The Greene County Commission approved $73,000 to fund ambulances through the 1st of July. The EMS has said without the funds, it wouldn't be able to run its normal operations.

The new money will help pay for part-time employees, fuel for the ambulances, and patient refunds.

The Greene County EMS is now competing with a private company, Life Care EMS, which started operating in the county last year.
