Newport truck driver sentenced in triple-fatal crash

A Tennessee truck driver will spend the next dozen years in prison after pleading guilty to killing three people in a fatal wreck.

According to the Raleigh News Observer, 53-year old Ronald Graybeal of Newport pleaded guilty to three counts of involuntary manslaughter.

Back in 2011, Graybeal was driving west on I-40 when he crashed into four cars. Three of the drivers died.

Prosecutors charged him with felony death by vehicle, DWI, and drug possession charges.

A judge sentenced him to nearly 12 years Monday after he pleaded guilty to lesser charges.
