Hammond discusses court clerk's office with McCroskey

Joy McCroskey, the embattled Knox County criminal court clerk, met Tuesday with her replacement, Mike Hammond.

Hammond says McCroskey reached out to him. She gave him the go-ahead to meet with her current employees. He says McCroskey will not be part of his staff.

Hammond won last week's Republican primary and is unopposed in the August general Election.

He'll take office September 2nd.
