Dolly Parton wins 'People's Voice' Webby award with Pentatonix for 'Jolene'

The a cappella singing group Pentatonix and Dolly Parton performed Dolly's hit single "Jolene" when the two met in Nashville.

Update on Wednesday, April 26: Dolly Parton and Pentatonix won the "People's Voice" award in the Viral Online Film & Video category of the Webby Awards for their performance of "Jolene."

Pentatonix tweeted about it on Wednesday, which prompted a response from Parton.

The Webby Awards are presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, and honor excellence on the internet. There are six major media types: websites, film & video, advertising, media & PR, social, mobile sites & apps and podcasts & digital audio. 

Original Story on Wednesday, April 19: Dolly Parton is up for a Webby Award along with a cappella group Pentatonix, and you can help them win! 

Dolly and Pentatonix are among five nominees in the viral film and video category for their performance of "Jolene" that was released online last September. 

They won a Grammy for the song under the Best Country Duo/Group Performance in February. 

Now the song is up for a Webby Award.
