KAT holding "Transit on Tap" sessions

Knoxville Area Transit is holding several "Transit on Tap" outreach and listening sessions at coffee shops and craft breweries in downtown neighborhoods to hear from residents about transit in Knoxville.

The sessions will run from through mid-November, and will reach locations near Fourth and Gill, Old North Knox, Island Home and Downtown North/Central Avenue.

These sessions are an extension of KAT's previous "Trolleys on Tap" sessions.

“Our Trolleys on Tap outreach indicated that there were a lot of people in these close-in neighborhoods who were interested in transit services,” said Dawn Distler, director of transit for the city of Knoxville, in a press release. “This is our opportunity to find out what’s working, what’s keeping people from riding, and what we can do to make our service more enticing.”
