More than 600 people gathered  at the First Baptist Church of Powell Thursday to learn about the struggles associated with Alzheimer's for both patients and caregivers.

Kim Campbell, the wife of country music star Glen Campbell, spoke about her experiences with caring for husband after he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's back in 2011.

The event was hosted by the Morning Pointe Foundation, an extension of Chattanooga-based Morning Pointe Senior Living that operates 26 senior care and Alzheimer's memory care centers around Tennessee and Kentucky.

Morning Pointe Foundation organizers said the event is meant to show the strain caregivers of people living with Alzheimer's and dementia can experience.
