KPD hopes you can help ID a suspected thief

KNOXVILLE - The Knoxville Police Department is hoping the public can help them identify a man who has stolen from coin machines in at least three locations.

The first known theft happened on April 28 at the Sutherland Avenue Car Wash. Two more happened on May 5 at Broadway Car Wash on North Broadway and at All Washed up on Whittle Springs Road.

KPD released surveillance pictures of the suspect on Wednesday. Investigators believe he is in his late 20's, approximately 5’10” tall, with brown hair and a tattoo on his right forearm and shoulder.

The man was driving a late model red Kia Optima with a sunroof.

If anyone can identify the man, they are asked to call the Knoxville Police Department’s crime information line at 865-215-7212.
