Lulu's Tea Room shares a recipe for Big Orange JELL-O salad

KNOXVILLE, TENN. - Big Orange Jell-O Salad

Crusts:
2 1/2 cups of salted chopped pretzels
One and a half sticks of butter melted
3 tablespoons of sugar

Mix all ingredients and press into a 9 x 13 glass baking. Bake at 375 for eight minutes. Remove from oven and let cool completely.

Filling:
One 8 ounce cream cheese softened
3/4 cup of granulated sugar
8 ounces of Cool Whip thawed

Mix cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Then add in 8 ounces of Cool Whip. Spread this mixture completely over the cooled pretzels sealing all edges.

Jell-O topping:
One large 6 ounce orange Jell-O
2 cups of boiling water
One large can of mandarin oranges drained

For 2 cups of boiling water over the 6 ounces of Jell-O mix well. Let cool for five minutes and then pour over your pretzels and cream cheese mixture.  Assemble your mandarin oranges over the top so that each piece has fruit.  Place in refrigerator and let sit for at least two hours.

If you want to garnish your dessert, make one extra filling recipe and have one additional can of mandarin oranges.  Go Vols!
