A man was found dead Thursday afternoon in a house fire in South Knox County, according to Rural/Metro authorities.
The fire was reported at 1207 Spruce Drive about 3:30 p.m.
The house was a complete loss. The man's body has been transported to the Regional Forensic Center for an autopsy.
Knox County Sheriff's Office authorities are investigating. The cause of the fire is under review.
The resident at the home is Robert Rockwell, according to authorities and county records. However, authorities caution they have not yet identified the man found dead in the home.
When crews arrived to fight the fire, they found the man's body inside, according to authorities.
