Man sentenced on child sex charges

A judge sentenced an East Tennessee man to 10 years in prison on child sex charges on Thursday.

Lucas Jordan Conerly, 31, of Blountville pleaded guilty in December for trying to entice a child for illegal sexual activity.

The family of a 13-year-old first alerted authorities to Conerly when they say he tried to set up meetings with their child. KPD and the FBI then took over the child's online identity.

Conerly was arrested after he arranged, and showed up for a meeting with who he thought was the victim.

He admitted to picking the victim based on the child's social media photograph.
