Former NFL players to host benefit for Second Harvest

On Super Bowl Sunday you have the chance to play armchair quarterback with some former NFL players, while helping feed hungry East Tennesseans.

The Second Harvest of East Tennessee is hosting its inaugural "Souper Bowl" benefit the night of the big game.

February 2nd you can join around 20 former NFL players including Fuad Reveiz and Tim Irwin to watch the matchup between the Broncos and the Seahawks on multiple big screens. Tickets include food and drinks.

Irwin, a former Vol who played for the Vikings, Buccaneers, and Dolphins, told 10News' Katie Roach, "We're excited about getting a crowd out here. We think it is going to be fun."

"You'll get to watch the game with some so-called experts," he added with a chuckle.

Each ticket to the Souper Bowl event costs $100. Because each dollar feeds three people, one ticket will feed 300 East Tennesseans.
