Police searching for suspect accused of carjacking, stabbing

A man says a suspect jumped into his car at a stoplight, then stabbed him multiple times.

A Maryville Police officer says he saw a car in the median on Highway 321 that was honking its horn. The officer stopped and found the driver had cutting/stabbing injuries.

The driver told police a man jumped in to his car at a traffic light on US 321 at William Blount Drive. He says there was then a scuffle where he was stabbed multiple times before the suspect jumped out of the car and ran off.

An ambulance took the victim to UT Medical Center.

The suspect is described as a man in his 40s with long brown hair, a red goatee and a yellow t-shirt.
