A motorcyclist died Thursday night after his bike crossed the center line of a Northwest Knox County road and collided head-on with a car, according to the Knox County Sheriff's Office.
Chris Jett, 43, of Clinton was killed in the crash even though he wore a helmet, according to the sheriff's office.
The crash occurred shortly before 8 p.m. Thursday.
The 2011 Kawasaki that Jett road crashed into a 2007 Honda Fit on Karns Valley Road after crossing the center line. Authorities took Jett to the University of Tennessee Medical Center, where he died.
The Honda's driver was not hurt. No charges are expected, according to the sheriff's office.
