Mutual aid called to help with Loudon County fire

In addition to Sevier County's fires, multiple brushfires and wildfires broke out Monday night in Loudon and Knox counties. 

Loudon County fire authorities called for mutual aid from agencies in the county after a blaze broke out that stretched from the Hotchkiss Valley area to the Harrison Hills subdivision, according to dispatchers.

The fire was reported about 7:30 p.m.

While responding to the blaze, a fire truck overturned on Hotchkiss Valley road near Happy Hollow Road, according to the Loudon County Sheriff's Office.

Minor injuries being reported by the Loudon County Sheriff's Office.

Firefighters from Loudon, Loudon County, Philadelphia, Greenback and Tellico Village were among those responding to the Hotchkiss blaze, according to dispatchers.

No one was hurt and no structures were burned, according to dispatchers.


A wildfire also broke out near Highway 72 and Malone Road, east of Philadelphia and north of Vonore.

In Knox County, Rural/Metro responded to a fire in Bull Run Valley in the Powell area.
