National park visitors spent $530.8M in TN last year

National park tourism in Tennessee has a more than half-billion dollar impact on the state.

A new national park service report says in 2013 alone, more than 8 million people visited national parks in Tennessee, spent more than $530 million and supported more than 7,600 jobs.

There are seven national park sites in Tennessee, including the Great Smoky Mountains and Big South Fork.
