No traffic deaths in Knoxville over Labor Day weekend

Knoxville Police announced its traffic stats for its specialized enforcement for the holiday weekend.

KPD officers gave out more than 1,600 driving citations this weekend. Of those, more than 100 were for not wearing a seatbelt and 113 were for driving with a suspended license.

Nineteen people were arrested for driving under the influence. Officers investigated 69 crashes and none of them were deadly.

KCSO issued more than 400 citations from Friday night through Tuesday morning.

Deputies arrested 15 people for DUI, and they had only three wrecks with injuries with no deadly crashes.
