KPD locates suspect in North Knox murder

Knoxville Police said James Hudgins has been located and arrested without incident. He will be held in the Knox County Detention Facility.

Knoxville Police are looking for the suspect in a fatal shooting.

Just before 11 pm, police were called to a home on Churchwell Avenue, where they found Larry Joe Turner, II, 43, shot to death on the porch of his home.

Investigators believe a domestic altercation led to the shooting.

Police have issued a first degree murder warrant for James Hudgins, 47, of Knoxville. He may be driving a 2002 Teal Green Ford Taurus with an Emergency license plate – Tag number: E-14527. He's described as a white male, 5'10, and weighing 165 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Hudgins is asked to call 911 or the Knoxville Police Department's crime information line at 865-215-7212. Callers can remain anonymous.
