Men offer biscuits, coffee, hope on Thanksgiving

Instead of staying home and eating turkey or watching football, two Knoxville men braved the cold temperatures Thursday to hand out free biscuits, coffee and hot chocolate.

The pair set up shop on Broadway in North Knoxville and hoped to help the homeless by sharing their faith.

"We're just out here trying to give people hope," said Bill White.

The two men say they do a lot of street ministry, but this was the first time they handed out biscuits and coffee on Thanksgiving.
