Man facing charges in accident that killed Clinton woman

ton police have released the name of a Clinton woman killed in an accident on the Lewallen Bridge Friday afternoon.

According to a press release, 40-year-old Angela Duncan Richardson of Clinton was killed in the wreck.

Police say Richardson was a passenger in 21-year-old Kyle Anthony's truck which crossed the center line when he lost control driving southbound on Clinch Avenue. The truck then hit two vehicles heading the other way.

The release states Richardson was thrown from Anthony's vehicle. Police say she died from the injuries she sustained.

In all, four people were injured in the wreck. Three others including Anthony were not injured.

One person is dead and another is behind bars for a fatal accident in Anderson County.

Clinton Police say the accident happened around 4:30 Friday on the Lewallen Bridge. They say 21-year-old Kyle Anthony of Knoxville may have been under the influence when he lost control of his truck on Clinch Avenue, crossed the center lane and hit two cars heading northbound.

The crash ejected a 40-year-old female passenger in Anthony's truck. She died from her injuries, and the accident injured four others.

Police had to shut down all lanes of the bridge for three hours.

Investigators say they believe alcohol was a factor in the crash. Anthony is facing charges for vehicular homicide and DUI.
