Salvation Army receives $30K check

Christmas may be over, but the giving continues for the Salvation Army's Red Kettle Campaign.

Tuesday morning, Pilot gave a check worth more than $30,000 to the Salvation Army. Pilot customers helped raise the money, one dollar at a time during the Paper Red Kettle campaign.

The Salvation Army says this year was a challenge because of the shorter time between Thanksgiving and Christmas, but leaders say the money will help pay for food baskets, utility help, and shelter funding for the entire year.
