Second Harvest hosts Blues for Food event

A local charity gave East Tennesseans some unique tastes and sounds -- for a good cause.

Second Harvest Food Bank's Blues for Food benefit concert featured live music and a shrimp boil hosted by Bayou Bay Seafood House.

Organizers expected 300 people to attend. That would raise $10,000, or enough money to feed 30,000 people.

"At Second Harvest Food Bank we're always out there asking for help, and I can tell you that we never get turned down. There's always people. One of the sad things I always say people shouldn't go hungry, and the people of East Tennessee realize that and they come and help us anytime we ask," said Aaron Snukals.
