RAM group heads to Haiti to help with hurricane recovery

Oct. 18, 2016: RAM has two teams of volunteers in Haiti and has air-dropped 10,000 meals on the island to help with hurricane relief.

A team with Remote Area Medical left for Haiti Saturday to assist with recovery efforts in the wake of Hurricane Matthew.

The hurricane left the area devastated. More than 1,000 people have died as a result of the storm in Haiti alone.

A group of RAM volunteers also went to Haiti earlier this month. Another group left Saturday with a large plane full of medical supplies.

More information about how you can assist RAM in their hurricane relief efforts is available on their website.
