The boil water advisory has been lifted in the White Oak area of Campbell County.
On Thursday, Sept. 15, a boil water advisory was issued to customers in the White Oak area due to a significant loss of water and to protect public health.
Customers affected by the water outage earlier last week can now use tap water for all purposes. The Clearfork Utility District has confirmed water quality meets state and federal requirements.
On Friday, Sept. 16 several bacteriological samples were collected from the areas affected by the water outages. Those samples tested negative for the presence of total coliform bacteria.
The Clearfork Utility District consulted with the State of Tennessee's Division of Water Resource prior to lifting the boil advisory.
