(WBIR-Knoxville) An East Tennessee actress has a one in twenty shot at a starring role in a new movie.
Andi Morrow, a Huntsville native who recently moved to New York City, is a finalist in the search an actress to star as Nellie Bly.
Andi was asking for your votes last week in a contest to cast the starring role, but some problems with the voting led the organizers to take the public vote out of the process. Now, they have selected their twenty favorite actresses, and will select the star, and several supporting roles, from that group.
The casting should be announced on October 15. We'll keep you updated!
A Scott County woman could become a movie star. She just needs your votes.
Andi Morrow is from Huntsville and a graduate of Maryville College. She recently moved to New York City to take acting classes and audition for roles, and you can help her win a big one.
There's an online contest to cast the lead role of Nellie Bly in an upcoming movie. The movie is called '10 Days in a Mad House'. Nellie Bly was a female journalist who was admitted into an insane asylum to see what was happening behind closed doors.
The actress with the most votes wins the part, and Morrow is in the top 50 finalists. Some of the runners-up may also be cast.
To vote, go this website. You'll have to scroll down the page to find Morrow's audition (she's the 36th actress listed). You can watch her performance, and vote for by clicking on the box to the right of her video. You can vote once on all computer devices.
Voting ends October 8.
