2 injured in 2-car wreck that shut down Chapman Highway

UPDATE: 11:45 p.m.

(WBIR) THP confirms Chapman Highway reopened Saturday night just before midnight.

Two people were injured in the wreck, but the extent of their injuries is unknown.

THP is investigating the accident.

ORIGINAL STORY: 11:00 p.m.

A two-car wreck shut down Chapman Highway (US 411) near Simmons Rd. in Sevier County Saturday night.

Sevier County dispatchers confirmed that the wreck happened at around 10 p.m. Seymour emergency crews responded to the wreck.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol also confirmed that all lanes have been shut down as crews work to clear the scene.

THP told 10News that two people were injured but the extent of the injuries are unknown at this time.
