(WBIR) The Helen Ross McNabb Center is expanding its operations in Sevierville thanks to a new location.
On Wednesday, the center held an open house and ribbon cutting on a new facility that is double the size of its old one.
The Helen Ross McNabb Center has been providing mental health and addiction treatment services in Sevier County for 10 years.
The center served more than 2,000 children and adults last year, and the organization said the facility they were using wasn't big enough to meet the growing need.
The center also plans to build an additional 4,000 square foot facility on the adjoining lot in the future. The foundation plans to raise $1.6 million for the new construction project.
