(WBIR) A bystander saved a woman's life after her car hydroplaned, crashed, and caught fire in South Knox County.
The crash happened at the intersection of Kimberlin Heights Road and Hendron Chapel Road.
KCSO said it appears the woman was heading south on Kimberlin Heights around 2:21 p.m. when her car hydroplaned and went off the road. The car then flipped, hit a tree, and caught on fire.
Authorities said a bystander, Dustin Brackins, of Seymour pulled the woman out of the car before it was fully engulfed in flames and emergency crews arrived.
Knox County Dispatch said fire from the crash spread into the woods but crews were able to put the flames out quickly.
The woman was taken to UT Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
KCSO said alcohol is not suspected to be a factor and no charges will be filed.
