KPD takes boy into custody after he makes threat on bus

(WBIR) School security officers are investigating a threat made by a middle school student aboard a school bus headed to South Doyle Middle School Friday morning.

Knoxville police officers boarded the bus on Chapman Highway in south Knoxville shortly after 7:45 a.m. and took the boy into custody. Officials said they believe the student wasn't going to act to the threat.

The bus continued to South Doyle Middle School after police took into custody.

KPD said school security officers are now investigating the incident.
