Wanted man flees from Knox Co. deputies

(WBIR) A man is still on the run after an attempted arrest in south Knoxville led to a chase Thursday evening.

Officials said Joseph Michael Beaver, 23, had a warrants for aggravated burglary and theft. Deputies located Beaver in an abandoned house on A Avenue in south Knoxville.

When they arrived to arrested him, Beaver broke out a window and fled on foot. A helicopter and K-9 units searched the area for the suspect, but they had to stop due to poor weather conditions.

Deputies arrested Jacqueline Renee Sims, 18, who was also in the house without incident. She's charged with criminal trespassing and making false statements.

Authorities said Beaver will face additional charges to the burglary and theft, including criminal trespassing and fleeing.If anyone has information about Beavers whereabouts, they're asked to call the Knox County Sheriff's Office at (865) 215-2243.
